The Australian Labradoddle is a cross breed of Poodle/Labrador and Cockapoo. These dogs are incredibly intelligent, abundantly affectionate, non to low shedding, and a perfect family companion. Not to be confused with The American Labradoodle, which is a cross between Labrador and Poodle.
Australian Labradoodles were first bred, as their name suggests, in Australia in the 1980's. This was done to meet the demand/need for a non-shedding service dog; it was quickly discovered that the Labradoodle must be multi-generational before it can get a consistent non shedding coat.
3 sizes of Australian Labradoodle Mini: 14-16 inches tall and weigh 15-25 pounds. Medium: 17-20 inches tall and weigh 25-40 pounds. Standard: 21-24 inches tall and weigh 40-65 pounds.
3 different coat types of Australian Labradoodle Wool: Loose soft curls or course like the poodle. Always non-shedding and allergy friendly. Fleece: Wavy, soft curls or spirals. Silky to touch and mostly non-shedding. Flat hair: Like the lab coat and low shedding. Rare in an Australian Labradoodle.
The Australian Labradoodle comes in many different colours; we specialize in Reds and Apricots, and some with white markings, a.k.a. Irish spotting, which are in high demand.
